Atkinson, N.C.’s Blake Taylor fired a 2-under 70 to take a one-stroke lead in the boys division of the inaugural Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship on Saturday at TPC Myrtle Beach.

Bethesda, Md.’s Graham Hutchinson was a stroke back and Mount Pleasant’s Jamie Wilson was two behind.

Traverse City, Mich.’s Anika Dy and Charleston’s Kathleen Sumner shared the girls lead after one round after 3-over 75s.

The inaugural Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship features players from 12 states and eight countries including China, Sweden, the Philippines, Japan, England, Scotland and Canada.

The 54-hole tournament continues through Monday at TPC Myrtle Beach, with tee times scheduled to run from 9-11:20 a.m. Sunday and 8-10:20 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.
