Local qualifier for DJ World Junior Championship set for Jan. 30

A local qualifier for the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship will be held Jan. 30 at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club’s West Course.

Residents of Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick counties between the ages of 13-18 are eligible, and an entry fee of $40 per player can be prepaid through an online form at www.worldjuniorgolfchampionship.com, which also has more information about the tournament.

The number of available qualifying spots will be determined as the tournament approaches.

The inaugural 54-hole Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship will be played Feb. 13-15 at TPC Myrtle Beach and is expected to have a strong international field of 90 boys and girls.
