Murrells Inlet’s Golden out front at Cheraw Fall Challenge

Murrells Inlet’s Patrick Golden shot a 5-under 67 to take a two-shot lead after the first round of the SCJGA Cheraw Fall Challenge at Cheraw State Park Golf Course at Moree’s Cheraw Country Club.

Golden was two shots ahead of Fountain Inn’s Colby Patton.

St. James High’s Smith Knaffle was tied for second in the girls division after shooting 1-under 34. She was three strokes behind Lancaster’s Emily Cox.
