Slicer solutions: Turf then ball

A common tip in golf is that you should hit the ball before the turf. Well, like a tell many of my students, it depends on who is on my lesson tee. This would be a swing that is coming down steeper into the ball – not a good tip for a slicer. I would like the slicer to get shallower on the downswing, which means the club would be swinging more up through impact. The impact would be behind the ball.

Set up to a tee in the ground. Make swings and try to clip the ball out of the ground. You don’t want to dig it out of the ground. You want to just clip it out of the ground. You will notice your divot will be behind the ball. It would be shallow but behind.
