Weekly golf tip with Brad Redding (Aug. 18)
Slicer solutions: Toe it
I am definitely a believer of exaggeration. If you find the opposite of where you are, it would be easier to find the middle. Well, the opposite of an open face is a closed face. I will have students hit an impact bag with the toe of the club head. That would have the face 90 percent closed at impact. Once again, it has them training their hands to use the club face. There are two types of swing cues. One is internal. This deals with using your body. The other is external. This means using something outside of the body, like the club face. External cues are much more effective and produce quality results.
