Baseball is the American pastime, but the Grand Strand’s unofficial sport of choice is golf.

Throughout the Myrtle Beach area are courses where residents and tourists alike spend hours a day teeing off and sinking putts. No matter the season, people play golf here all year round.

According to Newsweek, The Grand Strand’s near 14 courses per 100,000 people is the fourth highest in the country.

Myrtle Beach golf courses also stack up against the competition. Golfweek magazine recently listed the best public golf courses and 12 of the 20 selected were from The Grand Strand.

Given the sport’s popularity in the area, The Sun News is asking readers to decide which Myrtle Beach area golf course is the best. Readers, residents and visitors can vote on our website, and the poll will be accepting submissions until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 27. Results from the poll will be announced next week.

If your favorite golf course was not on the list, fill out this form and tell us which one is and why. The following courses can be found on the Visit Myrtle Beach Website.
