Local juniors seeing green in Drive, Chip & Putt competition
Juniors from the Myrtle Beach area competed Tuesday in a Drive, Chip & Putt Championship local qualifier at Legends Resort in the hopes of taking the first step toward reaching the national finals next April at Augusta National Golf Club.
The skills contest is in its fifth year and is supported by the the USGA, PGA of America and Masters Tournament. Boys and girls ages 7-15 are eligible to compete in four age divisions for each gender.

More than 100 juniors participated at Legends and 14 of the 24 qualifiers were residents of the Grand Strand.
