Conway’s Burris wins Ford Picard Christmas Classic boys individual title

Conway’s Kevin Burris posted a 1-over 71 at Wild Dunes’ Links Course to win the 22nd Annual Ford Picard Christmas Classic by two strokes.

Burris, who lost in a playoff in the event last year, edged out Spartanburg’s Matt Teaster and Lexington’s Alec Vardas for the win.

Pawleys Island’s Jackson Cole, who teamed with his dad to win the father-son portion of the event Saturday, tied for seventh with a 76 after winning the individual event last year.

Pawleys Island’s Trey Salley tied for 14th after shooting 78.

Rock Hill’s Jodee Tindal (72) won the girls division by five strokes over Inman’s Elle Johnson and Greenwood’s Anna Grace Brock.
