Denmark’s Carlsen, Australia’s Hong win Greg Norman Academy Junior titles

Denmark’s Sophia Giverny Carlsen and Australia’s Jason Hong won the boys and girls Greg Norman Academy Junior titles, respectively, on Saturday at Barefoot Resort’s Norman Course.

Giverny Carlsen finished with a three-round total of 223 for a six-stroke victory, while Hong finished at 217 for a three-shot win.

Hong led Australia to the team victory, partnering with Corey Jones and Jihye Park for a 678 total and 12-stroke win. Germany (David Rauch, Ferdinand Mueller and Polly Annika Mack) was second (690) and Sweden (Jesper von Reedtz, Joel Sylven and Alice Gotbring) was third (691).

South Africa’s Garrick Higgo and Zimbabwe’s David Amm tied for second (220) in the boys division and Denmark’s Carl Emil Lindsoe Nielsen was fourth (221).

Park was second (229) in the girls division and Sweden’s Isabell Ekstroem was third (231).
