Coastal Carolina remained No. 18 in the Baseball America top-25 poll this week, setting up an intriguing clash of nationally ranked teams Tuesday evening as the Chanticleers host No. 22 College of Charleston at Springs Brooks Stadium.

The Chants completed a Big South series sweep at High Point on Monday, improving to 26-9 overall and 10-2 in the conference.

College of Charleston moved into the Baseball America poll this week and is off to a 24-8 start with wins in 10 of its last 11 games.

The multiple ncollege baseball national polls have a reputation for varying greatly, and as such, Coastal Carolina also checked in this week at No. 18 in DIBaseball.com’s poll along with rankings of No. 20 (USA Today coaches poll) and No. 29 (Collegiate Baseball).

The Chants have already surpassed its win total from last season (24-33) and their .743 winning percentage is the program’s best since finishing 55-10 in 2010.

The game with College of Charleston on Tuesday is schedule to start at 6 p.m.
