Coastal Carolina baseball takes down Charleston Southern
Coastal Carolina fell into a hole early Saturday.
But the bats dug the Chanticleers out.
After falling behind 3-0 after two innings, Coastal hit home runs in four straight frames, starting with the four-run third and the Chants held on for a 9-3 win over Charleston Southern. Coastal and the Buccaneers will play the rubber match of the weekend series at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The 20th-ranked Chants are 25-15 overall and 17-3 in the Big South. Coastal has a four-game lead over Campbell in the conference standings with four conference games left – three against the Camels next week to end the regular season.
