About the Runnin’ Bulldogs (18-10, 12-6 Big South): The Gardner-Webb women are third in the Big South standings, rank third in the league in scoring at 63.0 points per game and fifth defensively while holding teams to 59.7 points per contest. They boast two of the conference’s best players. Senior guard Candace Brown leads the team in scoring and ranks second in the league at 14.1 points per game, while senior forward Olivia Parker is averaging 13.7 points (fourth in the conference), 9.2 rebounds (second) and 1.9 blocks per game (third).

About the Chanticleers (11-15, 6-11): The Coastal Carolina women have won three straight games and four of their last five while launching a second-half surge, and with three regular-season games left they are looking to continue boosting their seeding for the Big South tournament. Junior point guard Ced Gibson (11.7 points per game) and senior guard Nicole Isaacs (11.6) continue to lead the way for the Chants, who currently sit eighth in the standings. They won their last meeting with Gardner-Webb, 59-56, back on Jan. 2.
