Women’s golf
Coastal Carolina’s Lena Schaeffner shot a 3-under 75 to sit in in a tie for seventh place after two rounds at the Seminole Match Up.
Schaeffner (1-over 145) was four strokes behind Texas A&M’s Maddie Szeryk.
As a team, the Chanticleers shot a second-round 21-over 309 to sit in a tie for eighth place at 30-over 606, 24 shots beind South Carolina.
Coastal’s Barbora Bakova (77) was tied for 23rd (150), Malene Krolboll Hansen (76) was tied for 36th (153), Bailey Cocca (82) was tied for 52nd (159) and Marie Lunackova (81) was tied for 64th (162).
Women’s basketball
(At) Winthrop 52, Coastal Carolina 43: Aliyah Kilpatrick had 21 points and the Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Chants.
Leading by just two after three quarters, Winthrop outscored Coastal 14-7 in the final frame.
Softball
Kansas 5, Coastal Carolina 1: At Jacksonville, Fla., Daniella Chavez drove in three runs to lift the Jayhawks past the Chants in the River City Leadoff Tournament.
Coastal’s Mackenzie Conrad hit a solo homer in the loss.
Men’s tennis
(At) Coastal Carolina 6, Longwood 1: The Chants cruised past the Lancers.
