Women’s basketball
(At) Campbell 73, Coastal Carolina 52: Nicole Isaacs scored a game-high 23 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Chants lost to the Fightin’ Camels.
Sarah Smith had 15 points, Jessica Pone added 12 and Amanda Coffer had 10 for Campbell (8-12, 3-8 Big South).
Coastal fell to 7-12 and 2-8 in Big South play.
Track and field
The Coastal Carolina men’s and women’s track and field teams combined for 10 top-10 finishes at the JDL Camel City Invitational on Saturday.
On the men’s side, Kahlim Denmark placed 10th in the 60-meter dash (6.90), Desmond Wallace was eighth in the 60-meter hurdles (7.92), Derrick Kinloch was sixth in the triple jump (47-2 1/4), Devontaye Edwards placed seventh in the shot put (50-1 1/2) and Ryan Minor finished 10th in the shot put (46-10 3/4).
The men’s 1,600-meter relay team – Dee Jennings, Charles Bascom, Nick Seabright and Malcolm Simmons – placed 10th (3:35.45).
On the women’s side, Amirah Al-Bayyinah was second in the triple jump (41-2 1/2), Kelila Naules placed ninth in the same event (37-3), Emma Kroger was sixth in the pole vault (12-0).
The women’s 1,600-meter relay team – Jonnay Anthony, Rozelle Meier, Takeyra Jenkins-Dodd and Imani Boatwright – placed ninth (4:03.84).
Women’s tennis
The Coastal Carolina women’s tennis team posted a pair of 6-1 win over Francis Marion and Savannah State.
