Coastal Carolina volleyball wins Big South tournament, makes NCAAs

Leah Hardeman, Annayka Legros and Lian Bernnett each posted double figues in kills and Sara Booth provided 46 assists as the top-seeded Coastal Carolina volleyball team swept (25-14, 25-15, 25-19) seventh-seeded Campbell in the Big South championship match.

Hardeman – who was named tournament MVP – had 14 kills, Legros added 13 and Bernett had 10. Hardeman – Big South Player of the Year in each of her first two seasons – finished the tournament with 51 kills and a .362 hitting percentage.

It was the second year in a row the Chanticleers won the conference tournament to advance to the NCAA tournament. The field of 64 will be announced at 9 p.m. Nov. 29 on ESPNU.

Coastal will enter the tournament riding a program-best 18-match winning streak.
