Coastal Carolina football roundup (Nov. 16)
▪ The Coastal Carolina football team remained at No. 4 in both the FCS Coaches and STATS FCS polls.
▪ Coastal Carolina swept the Big South offensive and defensive player of the week awards.
Quarterback Alex Ross won the offensive award after passing for 262 yards and five touchdown passes in a win over Kennesaw State. He was also named College Football Performance Awards’ National FCS Performer of the Week.
Defensive tackle Jabarai Bothwell won the defensive honor after recorded a team-high nine tackles, including 2.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also blocked an Owls PAT attempt.
