Coastal Carolina football roundup (Nov. 9)

▪ The Coastal Carolina football team moved back into the top 5 of both the FCS Coaches and STATS FCS polls on Monday.

The Chants appeared at No. 4 in both, representing the 23rd time in the last 25 ranking periods that they were a consensus top-5 team.

▪ Coastal Carolina quarterback Alex Ross was named Big South Offensive Player of the Week.

Ross completed 14 of 16 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s 46-0 win over Gardner-Webb.
