Coastal Carolina roundup: Men’s soccer team matches highest-ever ranking

The Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team on Tuesday matched its highest-ever ranking as it was listed at No. 5 in the Nation Soccer Coaches Association of America’s weekly top-25 poll.

The Chants were also ranked fifth in 2013.

With the ranking, Coastal is the only institution in NCAA Division I to have its men’s soccer team and football team (No. 1) ranked in the top five in their respective coaches’ polls.

Volleyball

(At) Coastal Carolina 3, UNC Wilmington 1: Leah Hardeman had 22 kills and five blocks to lead the Chants to a 27-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22 win in their home opener.
