Friday’s Coastal Carolina roundup

Arnar Geirsson scored in the 49th minute and Miguel Gutierrez added a goal in the 54th minute to lead the Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Charlotte on Friday night.

Chanticleers goalkeeper Fernando Pina had two saves in a shutout.

Women’s soccer

Coastal Carolina 3, (at) UAB 1: With the game tied at 1-all, Kayla Christian scored her second goal in the 54th minute to give the Chants the lead and Amber Adams added an insurance goal in the 66th minute as Coastal beat the Blazers.

Christian scored her first goal in the 15th minute to give CCU a 1-0 lead. UAB’s Alanna Dineen tied it up in the 41st minute.
