Coastal Carolina roundup: Men’s soccer shuts out Old Dominion in opener
Sergio Camargo and Bryce Follensbee each scored goals to lead the Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Old Dominion in Friday night’s season opener.
Camargo scored in the 17th minute and Follensbee added another goal in the 54th to give the Chanticleers an insurance score.
Fernando Pina earned a shutout in goal for Coastal despite the Chants being outshot 16-14.
Women’s soccer
(At) Coastal Carolina 2, Georgia Southern 1: Daniella Famili broke a 1-all tie in the 75th minute to lift the Chants past the Golden Eagles.
Darbie Kelley put CCU up 1-0 in the 51st minute, but Georgia Southern struck back in the 66th on a goal from El-Shami Nora.
Volleyball
Coastal Carolina 3, (at) Georgia Tech 2: Leah Hardeman had 18 kills to help the Chants knock off the Yellow Jackets 17-25, 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 15-9 in the Marriott Atlanta Midtown Invitational.
