Former Coastal Carolina University running back Lorenzo Taliaferro is on a roster in Saturday’s American Flag Football League pro championship game in Indianapolis.
Taliaferro was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 6 just nine days after the Canadian Football League team signed him, and he joined Chad Ochocinco’s team that has reached the AFFL pro title game.
Team Ocho beat a team led by Michael Vick 23-13 in the semifinals this past Saturday. There is $1 million on the line for the AFFL winner.
Taliaferro played two seasons at Coastal in 2012-13 and holds single-season school records with 1,729 yards on 276 carries with 27 touchdowns in 2013. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by Baltimore and played three seasons with the Ravens before being released on Sept. 1, 2017.
