CCU men’s soccer pulls another upset, knocks off No. 2-ranked squad

Frantzdy Pierrot scored in the 38th minute to lift the Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team to a 1-0 upset of No. 2-ranked Maryland on Friday night.

Pierrot’s goal was assisted by Ryan Willoughby.

The victory was the Chanticleers’ third straight and it was their third win over a ranked team this season.

CCU has also defeated No. 15 UNC Charlotte and No. 18 Old Dominion.
