For the second time in three years, the Coastal Carolina baseball team will host the Czech Republic National team for an exhibition game next Thursday at Springs Brooks Stadium. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m., admission is free and there will be open seating.

The contest will be a regulation, nine-inning game and both teams will use wood bats. Coastal and the Czech Republic last met on Oct. 8, 2015, the fall prior to CCU’s National Championship, and the visitors took a 5-1 win before a crowd of 1,500.

The Chanticleer baseball program will use the game as an opportunity to raise money for cancer research as October is breast cancer awareness month. Players will be throughout the stadium to collect donations.

CCU’s Fall World Series will be played from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 and admission is free.
