Coastal Carolina alums share a moment, jerseys following NFL game Sunday
Coastal Carolina alumni are used to occasionally running into each other at NFL games, as players like Mike Tolbert, Josh Norman, Jerome Simpson, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Quinton Teal and Tyler Thigpen have each spent several years in the league.
Tolbert and Norman are both still significant players on their current teams.
But it’s all new to Denver Broncos rookie running back De’Angelo Henderson, who Sunday at Buffalo got his first NFL carry for a yard in his third game.
He and Tolbert, a Buffalo Bills fullback who has 88 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries this season, exchanged signed jerseys on the field following Buffalo’s 26-16 win over Denver.
Tolbert posted a picture of the jersey exchange on Instagram with the caption:
“So happy & proud of this young fella right here. @dhenderson31 is doing it the right way and making #CCU proud. #ChantsInTheNFL.”
Henderson responded: “Much love bro! Paving the way for the next!”
