Coastal Carolina’s Forbes one of 50 on USA Softball preseason watch list

Coastal Carolina outfielder Taty Forbes was named one of 50 athletes on the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award Watch List.

Named Freshman of the Year in the Chants’ final year as a member of the Big South in 2016, Forbes batted .479, good for fifth in the nation, last year.

The preseason watch list includes 26 seniors, 18 juniors and six sophomores.

The top 25 finalists for the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award will be announced April 12.
