Coastal Carolina women falter late, lose to Texas-Arlington

Ced Gibson had 21 points and Alexis Robinson had nine points and 12 rebounds, but the Coastal Carolina women’s basketball team was unable to hold on in a 60-58 loss to Texas-Arlington on Saturday.

The Chanticleers led for nearly 33 minutes of play, but could not withstand a 6-3 run by UT Arlington over the game’s final three minutes.

Cierra Johnson had a game-high 22 points and Rebekah VanDijk had 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Mavericks.
