Men’s golf
The Coastal Carolina men’s golf team shot even-par 288 in the final round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Jonesborough, Tenn., to finish 11th.
The Chanticleers finished at 3-over 867, 38 shots behind winner Virginia.
Coastal’s Thadd Obency II (71) tied for 22nd (214), Luis Ruiz (76) tied for 38th (219), Alfredo Ruiz (75) and Ryan Carpenter (74) tied for 48th (221) and States Fort (68) tied for 65th (224).
Women’s soccer
(At) South Alabama 4, Coastal Carolina 1: Rio Hardy scored in the second minute and then tallied a goal again in the 31st minute as the Jaguars jumped out to an early lead en route to a win.
Danielle Henley added a goal in the 69th minute and Kory Dixon scored less than two minutes later for South Alabama.
The Chants got on the board in the 90th minute on a score from Kendall Parks on a penalty kick.
Volleyball
(At) Coastal Carolina 3, Appalachian State 1: Leah Hardeman had 19 kills to lift the Chants past the Mountaineers.
