Sports Illustrated report: Muschamp expected to become South Carolina head coach

According to a report from Sports Illustrated early Sunday morning, Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp is expected to become South Carolina’s new head football coach.

SI reports that a source says a deal is “all but done.”

Legendary coach Steve Spurrier stepped down from the USC post earlier this season and assistant Shawn Elliott took over on an interim basis.

Like Spurrier, Muschamp formerly was head coach at Florida.
