South Carolina football lands first commitment for 2025 with ties to the program
South Carolina has an early jump on the 2025 recruiting class.
The Gamecocks landed their first pledge in the Class of 2025 on Thursday, landing a commitment from three-star wide receiver Jayden Sellers out of South Florence High School.
Sellers made his announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Sellers, the younger brother of South Carolina freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers, is ranked as the fourth-best player in South Carolina and a Top-40 wide receiver in the nation, according to 247Sports.
As a sophomore in 2022, Sellers caught 39 passes for 827 yards and 12 touchdowns in helping the Bruins to their first state championship. South Florence is the No. 1 team in Class 4A in latest SC high school football media poll.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound wide receiver also held offers from Syracuse, Virginia Tech, East Carolina and Cincinnati.
