Late addition adds to NC State football’s 2022 signing class
There are rarely surprises on signing day anymore.
Long gone are the days when athletes line up multiple hats on the table and pick one in front of friends and family.
Days, even months before National Signing Day, N.C. State coach Dave Doeren and his staff pretty much knew who they were getting. There was, however, one player keeping it interesting. Offensive lineman Jacarrius Peak out of Valdosta, Ga. was down to the Pack and Louisville.
Wednesday morning, when 11 members of the N.C. State class of 2022 already had their letters sent in, Peak put the Wolfpack hat on his head, picking N.C. State.
Peak (6-5, 310) comes to Raleigh out of Valdosta, Ga. He’s currently ranked the No. 29 inside offensive lineman in the country. Peak is a three-star commitment. Peak becomes the second offensive lineman to commit to Dave Doeren in the class of 2022.
As it stands, N.C. State’s class is currently ranked No. 8 in the ACC and No. 53 in the nation.
