Ohio State players to watch
1. Quarterback Justin Fields has accounted for 50 touchdowns, with only one interception so far this season after transferring in from Georgia. The sophomore can make plays with his arm and legs but could be limited by a knee injury. Fields described himself as 80% to 85% earlier this week.
2. Running back J.K. Dobbins is one of the best backs in the nation. The junior is third in the nation in rushing with 1,829 yards. Dobbins averages nearly 6.5 yards per carry.
3. Defensive end Chase Young can change a game in a heartbeat. He leads the nation with 16.5 sacks and will likely require more than one blocker on most pass plays.
Clemson players to watch
1. Two-time ACC Player of the Year Travis Etienne leads the nation in yards per carry at 8.24. The junior has 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season and is one of the best in the country at breaking tackles. He also has the speed to go the distance on any play.
2. Junior receiver Tee Higgins has caught nearly everything thrown his way as of late. The Tennessee native is averaging 21 yards per catch and has topped the 100-yard mark each of the past two games. He has 1,082 receiving yards on the year.
3. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been as hot as any quarterback in the country the second half of the season. The sophomore has 20 touchdowns and no interceptions in the past six games and was the star of last year’s College Football Playoff.
