NFL Legend Jerry Rice 'Chased Down' Heckler At Celebrity Golf Tournament

NFL icon Jerry Rice competed in the American Century Championship this week and unfortunately had to deal with hecklers. But he had a surprise for one of the ones who tried to bother him.

A video has been going viral on TikTok of Rice making his tee shot when someone in the crowd yells "Fore!" After making his shot, Rice turned to the crowd and started chasing down the heckler, asking members of the crowd "Which one?" as he tried to locate him.

Fans egged Rice on, telling the 63-year-old Hall of Famer to "Go get 'em" as he raced towards a few departing fans, golf club in hand.

Rice leaves the frame of the video before we can see him confront the heckling fan, but when he returns he is all smiles and receiving positive remarks from the fans. He waved back at a few before returning to the golf game.

Jerry the GOAT

Rice is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history and one of the greatest players ever to play professional football. Selected 16th overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1985 NFL Draft, Rice spent 20 seasons in the league, primarily with the 49ers before later playing for the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks.

During his remarkable career, he amassed 1,549 receptions, 22,895 receiving yards, and 197 receiving touchdowns, all of which remain NFL records. He also added 10 rushing touchdowns, bringing his career total to an unprecedented 207 touchdowns from scrimmage. Rice was named to 13 Pro Bowls, earned 10 First-Team All-Pro selections, won two NFL Offensive Player of the Year Awards, captured Super Bowl XXIII MVP honors after recording 11 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown, and helped lead San Francisco to three Super Bowl championships.

Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010 on his first ballot, Rice has become synonymous with excellence, preparation, and longevity. His combination of elite production, championship success, and unmatched durability has led many analysts, players, and coaches to consider him not only the greatest wide receiver of all time, but one of the greatest athletes in the history of American sports.
