Conway is going bananas! Banana Ball is coming. Will it be Savannah Bananas?
It’s going to get bananas in Conway this spring as Banana Ball is making its way to the city.
The Banana Ball Championship League announced its 2026 schedule, which includes a swing into Coastal Carolina University’s Brooks Stadium on March 28 and 29, 2026.
The City of Conway posted the announcement on its Facebook page Thursday evening. It comes after the city made a social media push earlier this year for the popular Savannah Bananas to come to the city.
While the Savannah Bananas aren’t coming, the Party Animals are, taking on the new team to the league, the Loco Beach Coconuts.
Banana Ball has become popular with fans over the last few years. While still competitive, its a variation of baseball that is designed to entertain, emphasizing showmanship, fan participation and quick-paced games. The players, many of whom are former minor league and college baseball players, do dance routines, comedic sketches and other performances between, and sometimes during, innings.
The teams have often been compared to the Harlem Globetrotters.
