Nice coverage of women in the sports section - but more is needed
I was pleasantly surprised to see coverage on the front page of the sports section featuring young women in high school. I have been appalled by the lack of coverage of girls high school and college sports. I really believed that the local schools and colleges did not have sport programs for women!
I realize that football, and golf, seem to get the predominate coverage. I have no problem with that. However, there needs to be a balance.
The Sun News needs to step up to the plate. Young women work hard at their various sports and deserve more recognition for the hard work they do.
