Cartoon is more political than funny

I agree with a previous writer that Doonesbury has no place on the “Comics” page. Rightfully, it belongs on the Opinion/Editorial page.

I do believe you would do the community a great service if you would print the platforms of both the Democratic and Republican Parties, preferably on the same page. In making their decisions, people should know what the basics are of the political candidates, even though they often don’t conform.

My guess is that interesting and meaningful dialogue would take place as a result.
