Trump? Remember, Italians and Germans once wanted change, too.
Trump not the change we need
Think twice about voting Republican this presidential year. Republicans have blocked laws that would prevent terrorists from buying AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifles. Yes, even terrorists who are on the no fly list.
They have blocked President Obama’s right to appoint a new Supreme Court justice - a judge whom Republicans once praised. Trump insulted a federal judge of Mexican Ancestry. Most people would be held in contempt of court for that. He even insulted American Indians with his “Pocahontas” taunt.
The GOP nominated Donald Trump, who has four times bankrupted companies for his own personal gain, thereby cheating working men and women and small businesses out of their hard earned work. Meanwhile, he brags about his wealth — but we can’t see his tax returns.
Will his nude model, third wife, be seen as a role model as first lady? He owned gambling casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. How can religious leaders even consider such a man?
The party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan should be ashamed. Vote wisely my fellow Americans. Trump is certainly the choice of Russian President Putin, who awaits Trump’s dismantling of N.A.T.O.
The Italian people wanted change, and in the 1940s, they voted in Benito Mussolini. The German people demanded change — they voted in Adolf Hitler. Beware of reckless change. It can really bite you.
