Racism is at an all-time high - and it’s Black America’s fault
I read where a black teenage stole a convertible Jaguar, tried to run from the police as was ultimately shot. This is sad. But where does the fault lie? Not with the police; only with the felon.
Someone bought that car, insured it and enjoyed driving it. It was not that teenager’s to steal. However, if he does, he is a felon. If he runs from the law, he is a fugitive. And if he gets shot, he was avoiding arrest. This is not police brutality; this is a government official doing his duty to protect the property and the people he serves.
The officer has no time to determine age, situation or reason. He must act as he was taught. There is no immunity for age. There is no immunity for being black. You have broken the law and must suffer the consequences. This is where “rules of conduct” come into play. If you are caught and told to get on the ground, then do so immediately. Lie face down and put your hands behind you back. You will live to see another day. Furthermore, disrespect for the law, property or authority is unacceptable.
We have a war and racism is at an all-time worse. Black America is fueling this war. The disenfranchised did not get where they are because of white people. They are there because they think from the slavery period they are entitled to be given back for what they gave. Those days have passed and racism is mostly a hatred of white ideals and authority, thus the protests and riots and police shooting.
Again, “rule of conduct” comes into play. At school, listen to the teacher and learn all you can. At home, better your neighborhood and respect you property and the property of others. Get a good job or any job and be as good at as you can and that disenfranchised tag might just go away. When you march or protest, that is hatred against white ideals. If the KKK is marching, leave them alone. They will have to go sometime and you don't have to be there to express you hatred of white America. And if you get into shooting police, then that hatred could lead to communities at war. No one wants that.
Black America, your problems are internal and not with the world. Here's the thing; this only involves between 20 percent and 25 percent of all black people who live in this country. These are the ones who populate the prisons, who disrespect their teachers, who defy law enforcement, who rob and destroy property. These are the one who are causing the trouble.
Black America, you must fix this. Taking down a Confederate flag because it represents hatred of blacks is ludicrous in today's world. There were 270,000 Confederate American men who died in that war, and their memory should be honored just the same as the Union soldiers. It was our history and has nothing to do with today's situations. Furthermore, did anything change? No. Did anything change with your protest marches? No. Did the Black Lives Matter movement solve your problems? No.
Then what is the answer? Look to yourselves for the solution.
In the 1950s, a little town emerged and was called Compton. Nice homes were built, families moved in, schools were built, doctor offices sprang up along with shopping centers and parks. It was a beautiful American town. Integration was coming along and Black America wanted a slice of the American Way. They bought homes in Compton and blacks starting blending into the town. As more and more homes went black white America was moving to new locations and had to take the businesses they had with them. Blacks did not fill those vacancies. The respect for property went as well. Today, it is a gang-infested area and no one dares go there who is not part of the hood. Guess who they blamed for this? Yep, white people.
There was an article in The Sun News Opinion section on July 30, written by Walter E. Williams, a professor of economics at George Mason University. Read this, especially our black people. It tells exactly what the problems are and where the blame lies.
All this “foo foo” with marches and protests and Confederate flags need to go away. The focus should be on if black lives really do matter, then blacks need to make black lives better. If you break the law, stick you hands out and let them put the cuffs on. Even better, don't break the law. You can do it. There are 75 percent of you who are doing the right thing.
