Progressives not serious about national and individual security
Re Terry Munson’s “NRA has bought the Republican Party” letter.
Mr. Munson's mind has been corroded by over exposure to the progressive's “government knows best” playbook, which holds that everything would be dandy if we would all just get on the big government plantation where bureaucratic “experts” could take care of us. (Wonder how that's worked out for the American Indians?)
His moronic assertions amount to what the Italians call “fried air.” It is almost impossible to understand what has happened to the Democratic party since JFK's solemn “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” was replaced by the progressive's shrill cry, “Come get your free stuff!”
I guess today's progressive Democrats, who are actually raging socialists, can best be summed up by the astonishing statistic that a majority of them think global warming and income inequality are bigger threats to our country than terrorism!
Munson has forgotten, or never knew, John Locke's advice from his 1689 “Second Treatise on Government” that “The first law of nature is self defense.”
Your readers should ask themselves if they would rather associate with the NRA, a patriotic group that supports American values, or a billionaire America- hater like George Soros, who owns most of the so-called “progressive” Democrats.
