Mabry the right person to help lead Surfside
Three women are candidates in the Aug. 9 election in Surfside Beach.
One candidate stands out and deserves to be recognized for her contributions for the years on Town Council from 2012 through 2016.
That candidate is Mary Beth Mabry.
Mary Beth has visions for all of us. She was instrumental in establishing the beach renourishment fund. We now have the money to work with the state and Army Corp of Engineers this year for this enormous project. Mary Beth knows the beach is our greatest asset.
The council of 2012 was faced with financial problems. Now with her guidance and the prior council, we can finally say we are in the black, with one of the lowest local tax rates.
She still has additional visions for us and the business community.
I know I want an experienced, dedicated person who is always prepared, ready, willing and able to listen and represent all the people of this great town. That is why on Aug. 9, I will cast my vote for Mary Beth Mabry.
