Letters to the Editor

Those who kill cops must be put to death - immediately

I’m starting this letter as an old World War II veteran who took part of four major battles: North Africa, Sicily Italy, Iwa Jima and Okinawa. I know what war is. It’s from nations hating each other, but now it seems the American people are beginning to be at war among ourselves. The people seem to have a hate for the policeman and other lawmakers. This is wrong, horribly wrong.

We need our cowardly lawmakers from the state to the federal government to pass strong laws forbidding anyone from killing a law official. The laws they pass should be immediately activated.

Anyone killing a law enforcement official should be tried, and if they are found guilty, put them to death immediately. Good law-abiding people have seen enough of this hate. We, as Americans, should love each other and respect each other, and when one does wrong let them face the consequences. I, as an American lover, believe that hate brings sin. The Bible speaks of this.

This fall, America has a chance to change to make our country a more truthful and better place to live. In my opinion, the Democratic Party has taken our country to the worst I have ever seen it.

How can you be honest and love your country and vote Democratic? As for Sen. Graham, Gov. Romney and the Bush family, if they can’t support the Republican nominee, please stay home and be happy.
