It’s offensive to compare Christianity to Islam
Letter writer Tom Propps needs to take time to read the Bible and the Quran before he gets into the business of comparing hypocrisies.
Propps refers to “some wings of Christianity” instead of quoting biblical verses. One cannot substitute the actions and statements of some people professing to be Christians for biblical teachings. However, there are at least 90 verses in the Quran directing believers of Islam to convert or kill people who do not believe the Quran. The Bible makes no such statements.
Jesus Christ is the son of God and instructs us to love one another and believe in Him in order to have eternal life. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me.”
Maybe Propps confuses himself when he veers off in the direction of blaming “red-blooded Americans” and those with “anti-human sentiments” for having opinions that differ from his. We all have opinions. Thank God for the Bible that tells us what our opinions should be.
Romans chapter one lays it out very clearly for all to see. If you disagree, you are disagreeing with God.
In regard to North Carolina's “fixation with restrooms,” have we not had separate restrooms since the beginning of civilization based on one's genitalia? This transgender nonsense is unworthy of intelligent discussion, and Romans chapter 1 rebukes the LGBT crowd.
They are merely a group most deceived by the devil. We should show them the error of their ways - not hate them. The exploitation of these groups is the stock and trade of the Democratic Party. Class warfare and pitting one group against another is what they do.
Conservatives encourage us to be the best we can be individually, take care of those who cannot do for themselves, and view oneself as an American - not Afro-American, Hispanic-American, or even Scots/Irish-American. The hate you connect to the Orlando shooter stemmed from his Islamic teachings.
There is no radical Islam - only Islam. One cannot pick and choose what verses one wants from the Quran no more than one can ignore any of Jesus Christ's teachings.
