Federal government keeps curtailing our freedoms
For the last few years, it seems like the federal government has been taking some of the authority from our local law forces, the city police department and the county sheriff department. The federal government has a bad habit of taking things away from the American people.
In the 1860s, Abraham Lincoln took away our state’s rights. Now the states have no rights. The federal government controls them. In the 1930s, Franklin Roosevelt took away our gold. In the 1940s, Harry Truman got us in the first war we lost, one we should not have fought - the Korean War. In the early 1960s, John Kennedy took our silver and got us in another war we lost and should not have even been fighting - the Vietnam War.
Then the first President Bush and the second one got us into two wars we should have not been in, and we lost both of them.
And now President Obama is trying to keep us in a war we cannot win and he's trying to take away our guns.
The federal government took our Ten Commandments, took our Bibles, and when they take away our guns, the federal government can take anything we own. And someday - watch it - they will make us take down our flag, Old Glory, and make us put up a United Nations flag.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to the “land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Only God knows.
