This Canadian knows: U.S. healthcare is excellent

I am a Canadian who visited Myrtle Beach in June. One morning, my good left eye went white and I could not see out of it. I called Coastal Eye Centre and was immediately given an appointment.

I have had five eye operations prior to this incident. At Coastal, I was treated with dignity, humanity and clarity. I then went to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for ultrasounds. Back home, I probably would have waited a week or more - unless I had an emergency. Again, the personal touch, and the excellence of processing and the friendliness of staff was beyond my wildest dreams.

Thanks to Coastal, all is well with my vision, and I left Myrtle Beach with hope and faith in the U.S. medical system.
