The left wants us left vulnerable to a tyranical government
Believe me, for the elite globalists on the left, gun control is not about controlling guns. It is all about controlling America.
In this respect, it can be compared to climate change, which is also all about control of the population of the world. In order to control us, they need to take away our ability to protect ourselves. They would love to abolish the Second Amendment of our constitution, but they understand that trying to do so would cause a revolution. That is why every time something bad happens in our country that involves guns, the left begins to point to guns rather than the perpetrator.
The Founding Fathers discovered early on that if they were going to have an impact on the tyrannical government, Great Britain, who ruled them, it would have to be accomplished by force rather that diplomacy. Fortunately for our forefathers and mothers, the weapons available at that time were primitive compared with what is available today. This gave them the ability to fight the war on an even playing field. Both sides were limited to the blade, the musket, the pistol and the cannon.
Today, things are the same in one respect and different in another. As much as it troubles me to say so, I feel that our government is no longer the rock that we can all stand on. I started to notice the change toward distrust during the Bill Clinton administration and continue to build during the George W. Bush administration. I did not really become alarmed until Barack Obama took over the ship of state. During the last seven and a half years, I have come to understand what Thomas Paine meant when he said “These are the times that try men’s souls.”
For me, Obama has become more like King George III and less like the presidents before him.
Keep in mind that our forefathers were protecting themselves with the same type of weaponry which was being used by the tyrants they were fighting. Today, our military and national guard are equipped with the finest automatic and semi-automatic weapons available while the weapons available to most citizens are semi-automatic at best.
The elite left takes the position that the average citizen has no need for a semi-automatic weapon, which accepts a fifteen round clip of ammunition to go hunting, and as an ex-hunter, I fully agree with that argument. The reality that they do not want to address is the fact that we, the average citizens, are aware of why they really want to remove all types of weapons that will allow us to defend ourselves on a more level playing field.
If the direction of our country does not change, I want to be sure that I can acquire a weapon that is somewhat compatible with weapons used by whoever wants to take what freedom I still enjoy!
That weapon would most likely be an AR-15 or an AK-47, both of which the left is trying to ban by labeling them as assault weapons. If the left is successful, they will have succeeded in taking a major step forward in their quest to control the citizens of our country with little opposition.
In closing, let me leave you with this thought. If you think my position is implausible, remember that we currently have a socialist running for president on the Democratic ticket who has a strong following of young folks who have been educated to believe that what he is preaching is possible.
Who knows what’s around the corner for America?
