When we walked away from God, evil arose in our midst

It is natural in the face of tragedy to seek solutions to the unthinkable crimes committed against our fellow Americans. However, all the money, regulations and agencies thrown at the problem has yet to deter the rise of evil, as evidenced recently in Orlando. The Sandy Hook and Charleston massacres were committed by deranged, mentally-disturbed young men. Ft. Hood, Boston, Oklahoma, San Bernardino and now Orlando were clearly committed by radicalized Americans aspiring to be Islamic Jihadists seeking rewards in the next life.

Is more gun control the answer? If someone wants a weapon, one may be obtained without going through proper channels, as evidenced by the San Bernardino shooters, whose neighbor bought the guns. If guns are not available, bombs or knives will be used. If someone wants to kill, they'll find a way. The black market can provide whatever product you. What do we do?

During the last seven years, there were five jihadist terror attacks and two deranged attacks on our fellow Americans, our neighbors, our friends. How long is this going to continue? Why is it continuing?

I know you're going to call me some right-wing nut. That's okay because I believe with all my heart, evil is growing in our country. Why? Because we have turned away from God. Where God is forgotten or void, evil fills that void.

Numbers 14:43: "Because you have turned away from the Lord, He will not be with you and you will fall by the sword." Palsms 103: "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. So great is His love for those who fear Him."

Do we fear God anymore? Do we even acknowledge His existence? God created us and loves us. He wants us to have a relationship with Him, but as long as we turn our backs on God, we lose His blessing and evil continues to flourish.

Let's hope our spiritual and political leaders will turn to God for guidance and direction and get this country back on the right track.
