Boyd is a conservative who won’t be bought as a S.C. Senator
I am writing this letter to strongly support Reese Boyd's bid to be elected to the S.C. Senate. Boyd is tirelessly campaigning to replace Sen. Raymond Cleary, who is not seeking re-election.
The main reason I am supporting Boyd in this run-off election is for his independent nature, as he can not be led away from his positions by pressure groups or outside influences. And he is a loyal, courageous, good thinker and a constitutional scholar. He’s not a career politician, believes in term limits, and is not beholden to special interests, lobbyists or any of the power brokers seeking favors.
After law school, Boyd went to work for former Gov. Carroll Campbell. As an an active aide to the governor, his duties included research, policy positions, preparing the few veto messages Campbell penned, and served as the governor's intermediary to legislative leaders.
If you check on the difference positions of Boyd and his opponent on the issues effecting Senate District 33, you will quickly observe that Reese is a fiscal conservative; in favor of a strong ethic’s reform bill; for the Second Amendment, without any liberal changes; wants less government and fewer restrictions for small businesses; will push to cut spending; want to create good-paying jobs; and wants to elect conservative judges who will interpret the law and not to legislate from the bench.
On June 28, your best bet is to vote for Reese Boyd.
