My fellow Americans: It’s time to unite against our common enemies
I would like to say amen to Diane and Rich Skovran about racism today.
I grew up in the North; I don't have a racist bone in my body. When I was in school and being taught about slavery, segregation, the mistreatment of any human being, it really upset me. I couldn't believe people could treat other people like that, not what we are taught by God for sure.
But today, things are so different. I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. is turning over in his grave. There are still some people who have that attitude, but honestly, my generation never did a thing to promote hatred among the people of color.
Why can't we just get along? We need to be worrying about our foreign enemies, not each other. We should treat people the way we want to be treated. If we all get along and forge a united front against those that would like to see all Americans killed, we could become the once powerful country we once were.
If we don't unite, our foreign enemies can get to us because we have dropped holding each other's hands and having each other's back. Let us all do it by the example of Charleston and stand together, holding each other's hands, singing songs of glory and loving one another as God wants us to.
