Writer believes that beaches should be for all people
Back in 1997, we moved to Conway and immediately started making trips to the beach. I was very impressed with the beach access layout that was obviously planned in advance to make it user-friendly and inviting, with parking, showers and wooden walkways.
I have resided in Hawaii, Florida and Virginia Beach, and our local accesses are far and away superior to any of those in those areas. I am very disappointed that the good people of Myrtle Beach want to change all that. The beach is for all people to enjoy, not just those who are close to it. I would add that the city government should listen to the students at Carolina Forest High School.
