Writer wants Withington for Senate 34

There seem to be four qualified candidates trying to replace state Sen. Ray Cleary in District 34. I am concerned that the two lawyers, Stephen Goldfinch and Reese Boyd, seem to be political insiders.

I have never seen either of them, but I have seen lots of their yard signs; too many for me, and most appear to be illegally placed near our crowded roads. They are a distraction. Their literature is lacking also.

I don't know Joe Ford, but Dick Withington goes to my church, St Michael's in Garden City. Dick ran his own computer company for many years in Atlanta. He has volunteered at church when called on.

Over the years, I have read his letters to your newspaper. Dick seems to have a good grasp of a number of issues. I will have a chance to vote for Dick twice in the Republican primary on June 14, as he is also running for a County Council seat, and I plan to do so. Many of you can also.
