Writer believes that Myrtle Beach should not succumb to greed for parking

Myrtle Beach used to distinguish itself from our seaside neighbors to the north in allowing the use of our ocean beaches without unnecessary parking charges. We already have the advantage over our inland communities in enjoying an extremely beneficial tourist trade. Let's not wipe our noses in the bureaucracy that can only be viewed as greed.

Indeed, the use of our nation's two great oceans, as well as the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, should be preserved as one grand National Park. Will a charge for the privilege of stepping on our beaches be next?
